"Oops, this is not a 0-day news since the beast was published on March
2005. Anyway, it's still relevant, so here we go for some words about it.

Crypto expert Daniel J. Bernstein has published the details about his
new 512-bits hash function: Salsa20.

As expected, it's one of the fastest hash function ever designed and it
totally blows away AES.

In order to encrypt data, DJB has details about the encryption function,
with a reference implementation.

The Salsa20 encryption function, also known as Snuffle 2005 is simple
and very fast. And since DJB is one of the most skilled guy in the world
when it comes to crypto stuff, you can expect it to be extremely secure."
